The foundations of Aterre’s concept lie in the making of a home away from home, a place to live and not just stay. The room design is practical and familiar; the epicentre of the space is the living area, with small – but fully equipped – kitchenettes, completed by comfortable tables for spontaneous meals and ceramic dishware from local makers. The material palette includes plush fabrics in earthy tones, pink marble and light oak wood, nickel fittings, as well as rattan and leather details . The lighting is soft and hidden in ceiling coves as much as possible. The bathrooms follow the same principle, with pink marble cladding, nickel fittings and minimal design at the vanity unit, completing the ‘effortless luxury’ aesthetic of the brand.
