A for Athens I 48 Hours in the city – A Stay with a View
The project regards the full interior renovation of the apartments at A for Athens, located at the heart of Monastiraki Square in central Athens. It offers guests a calm and comfortable stay within one of the city’s most vibrant districts, combining contemporary interior design with direct visual and spatial connections to the historical core.
Several of the front-facing rooms enjoy unobstructed views of the Acropolis and immediate proximity to the traditional neighborhood of Plaka. The design concept, titled “48 Hours in Athens”, aims to create a seamless experience of the city, encouraging guests to explore its gastronomy, cultural landmarks, and public spaces—all within walking distance from the hotel.
The interiors are defined by a refined palette of natural materials: oak wood, Kasta Arabescato marble, antique brass detailing, and tactile fabrics in earthy tones. Lighting is discreet and layered, featuring custom-made fixtures and soft curves of indirect illumination that contribute to a warm and intimate ambiance throughout the rooms.
With this intervention, Urban Soul Project sought to frame the Athenian experience through architectural clarity and material subtlety, aligning the spirit of the city with the hospitality offering.
