The vision for this Santorini hotel was anything but conventional. The brief from Neema – Domes Resorts was clear: create a destination that breaks away from the predictable. Not another whitewashed Cycladic retreat, but a statement. A place rooted in nature, yet confidently expressive. Fashion-forward, vibrant, and unexpected.

Our response was a design concept that merges architecture, art, and identity into a rich, immersive experience. At its core lies a single sculptural gesture: a metal “thread” that winds through the space like a continuous line drawing. It starts at reception, weaving through joinery and outlining architectural details, culminating in a wall installation inspired by fashion illustration and textile techniques. It’s a visual signature—fluid, dynamic, and unapologetically bold.

Color plays a starring role in the narrative. Red—Neema’s brand color—is not a decorative afterthought but a main character. It appears with precision and purpose, cutting through textured neutrals, punctuating spaces, and asserting personality. In the reception area, it frames rather than fades, introducing a tone of quiet confidence.

Moving toward the pool area, the story softens in rhythm but retains its identity. Neema’s signature woven pattern reappears, reinterpreted as a custom tile at the pool’s edge—subtle, yet striking. Organic forms take over: sculptural sunbeds, a sinuous communal table echoing the flow of a runway, a bar that doubles as sculptural focal point. Texture becomes narrative—wood, stone, fabric, and tile converse with light and shadow.

Guest rooms continue the story through a more intimate lens—that of the fashion shoot. Each space is carefully composed to feel like a curated frame: vanity lights evoke backstage glamour; tiled headboards nod to fabric swatches; bespoke furniture in bold upholstery blurs comfort and couture. Red reemerges as a signature—a thread through headboards, accents, and playful bathroom details.

The brand’s pattern is not treated as graphic décor, but as a tactile language—translated into wardrobe panels, custom tiling, and layered materials. It’s a detail you feel, not just see.
